In this hands-on session, we will explore two ways to quickly perform Benford’s Law on ones or thousands of datasets. First, we’ll build an interactive dashboard using Power BI. The dashboard will quickly identiy high-risk time periods and auditable areas. Second, we’ll implement Benford’s Law using Claude to provide further explain our results. These techniques could be useful for continuous auditing or risk assessment for an individual engagement.

Daniel McCarville is a research statistician and audit analytics leader.
