you will learn about:
Providing continuous assurance over a system-wide sewer cleaning program requires more than monitoring completion rates. It also involves providing management with risk-based insights into the program’s daily operations and objectives – right pipes at the right time.
This session demonstrates how Internal Audit partnered with operations to transform a continuous assurance initiative from tracking system-wide sewer-cleaning goals into a risk-based decision-support tool. You will be walked through how an AI agent was built and integrated with multiple operational, asset, and event data sources to develop a risk model, and how random forest analysis was used to validate the results, identify the most influential risk factors, and increase confidence in the model and finally how we developed a dashboard to help prioritize sewer cleaning activities based on risk rather than schedule alone.
